Some crack police work
Michelle Ridgeway has her paintings back. Last week the Charlottetown artist's car was stolen with about $2,000 worth of her paintings inside. There were six large ones and a number of smaller ones. Police found the car but the paintings were gone, and on Friday Ridgeway put out an urgent request for people to be on the look-out for them at yard sales and flea markets. On Monday she said police called to tell her that the paintings had been found. They told her they received a tip that the works were in the home of the woman charged with stealing the car, and sure enough they were.
Do you think that if they didn't receive the tip they would have thought to look in the home of the person who stole the car?
